Oluwatomilola Oluwatobiloba Eni-Ibukun

Oluwatomilola Oluwatobiloba Eni-Ibukun is a qualified barrister and solicitor and experienced researcher, with excellent IT, communication and drafting skills. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Lagos, with her LL.M. from the University College, London. In addition, she obtained her Ph.D. degree at the University of Dundee. She is a member of various national and international organisations.

She has been a Consultant to the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Research Assistant at the UNESCO Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science, as well as intern at the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development.

·Graduated from the Nigerian Law School in top 4% of graduating class (July 2003);

·Awarded the Shell Nigeria University Merit Scholarship (1996 – 2001);

·Graduated from the University of Lagos in top 3% of graduating class (Dec 2001);

·Part of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin Climate Change team, attending and reporting on climate change meetings;

·Thematic expert for the International Institute for Sustainable Development “climate-l.org” climate knowledgebase;

·Carried out research to identify the capacity needs of developing countries and the capacity building activities of developed countries, in order to measure capacity building in developing countries, and developed a database matching the two sets of information;

·Researched the laws and policies of several countries to gather information on their implementation of the Framework Convention on Climate Change in order to determine their capacity needs;

·Conducted research into the laws governing international watercourses, including the shared uses of transboundary rivers, their protection and related disputes;

·Conducted research into various areas of international environmental law;

·Part of the FIELD team that prepared the brief used by one of the country groups at the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC in Nov – Dec 2005;

·Participated in the FIELD delegation to the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in Canada in Nov – Dec 2005.
